Schneider Electric, NVIDIA and HPE announced a collaboration to develop industrial AI agents that run near process-industry operations. The proposed systems would use HPE Private Cloud AI alongside Schneider Electric’s industrial technology to monitor operations, detect issues and support energy optimization, while keeping sensitive data close to where it is generated. [1][2]

The companies describe the agents as an initial demonstration, not a proven system with independently verified results. Schneider Electric says an existing control-system monitoring platform has been used at Chilean paper producer CMPC for three years; it says AI agents could build on that deployment, with people retaining control of critical decisions. [1] The announcements do not establish the agents’ real-world effectiveness or detail their availability. [1][2]
